Mass DEP Chapter 91 Self Certification Dock Registration

Did you know that all Posted docks on Great Ponds in Mass should go through the DEP Chapter 91 Self Certification Process?
Did you know that it is good for 30yrs once completed?

Not sure, but I may have been the first person to go through this process successfully. I did  find it a bit confusing, but well worth the effort. The best advice I can give is to look through the material, print out the checklist, and call DEP if you have any questions. The online system for calculations and payments could be better, but the folks at the DEP are very helpful. Follow the Checklist and your on your way…

Remember that once you get the approval, you need to register with your Registry of Deeds. This was tricky, but a quick call from the Registry to the DEP got them aligned.
